The new funds will allow the company to continue to promote its platform that makes it easier for drivers to share their cars on their daily urban and interurban journeys.

Tribbu, the app for drivers to share their car on urban and intercity trips - formerly known as Hoop Carpool- has closed a funding round of more than 2 million euros led by Iberdrola (Through its Venture Builder Perseo) and Grupo Ruiz, with the advice of Eleva Legal.

Each of the two companies has invested one million euros, thus consolidating themselves as strategic partners in the growth and expansion of Tribbu, a company co-founded and led by the entrepreneur Paloma Martín.

With this alliance, the company continues to make progress in its strategy to transform mobility in cities and reduce polluting emissions from traffic. In addition to Tribbu's technology and market knowledge, Iberdrola's drive for efficient and sustainable mobility and Grupo Ruiz's experience in public transport are now added. In this way, these companies contribute to the advancement of more responsible and less polluting mobility.

The investment achieved by the company also agree with the entry into force of CAEs (Energy Savings Certificates) to the car-sharing business model. Thanks to the energy savings derived from carpooling, Tribbu pays all drivers an average of one euro per trip and per passenger.

Tribbu has just opened its platform to private drivers, while also maintaining its service to companies and universities. As of today, the platform already has more than half a million shared trips and more than 100 companies and universities that use the service, including Iberostar, Mercedes-Benz, the Complutense University and the Francisco de Vitoria University.

Óscar Cantalejo, responsible for Perseus by Iberdrola, highlights that “this investment is part of our commitment to supporting the best Start up Like Tribbu, joining forces with the brightest entrepreneurs to accelerate together the adoption of technologies that promote decarbonization and electrification of the economy”.
