Hoop Carpol, the Spanish platform dedicated to car sharing, has changed its name to Tribbu, beginning a new phase in which it has included new features, although it maintains its business strategy, after more than six years promoting carpooling in companies, universities and cities.

Its company mission remains intact, with the objective of making shared mobility the most common way of moving. However, its new name focuses on creating a community that moves collaboratively to reduce traffic, avoid empty seats and emit less CO2.

With a presence in seven countries, more than 400,000 shared routes, 60,000 registered users, more than 100 affiliated companies and a growth of 110% in the last year, Tribbu seeks to provide a direct answer to the current situation in the sector.

Among others, Tribbu has eliminated the need to belong to a registered company to move around by car sharing. Although the platform will keep its services to companies intact, now anyone can be part of this daily change.

In addition, Tribbu maintains its application available on iOS and Android, its agreements with companies, universities and administrations, and its commitment to certify the energy savings of each journey so that individuals and organizations receive tangible benefits.

Tribbu is much more than a new name. It is the consolidation of a community that trusts, shares and moves forward together. Sharing is no longer plan B, it's the only way to get there,” said the CEO and co-founder of the firm, Paloma Martín.

MORE THAN 9 MILLION KILOMETERS TRAVELED

Currently, Tribbu has more than 9 million kilometers traveled and more than 1,000 tons of CO2 avoided, thanks to more than 400,000 shared trips and the trust of more than 100 companies that are already part of the platform.

“With each shared journey, we demonstrate that other mobility is possible. In 2025, we doubled the number of trips on the platform and avoided more than 520 tons of CO2. This is just the beginning of the new way in which we transport ourselves”, summarized Martín.

Thanks to institutional support from the Government, since 2024, carpooling in Tribbu has generated monetizable energy savings through the Energy Savings Certificates (CAE) system, a pioneering system that transforms positive environmental impact into direct economic incentives for users. Through its Energy Bonus, the platform will pay around 1 euro to each user for each shared journey and each passenger they register.
