The car-sharing platform Hoop Carpool Start a new phase under the name Tribbu, with the objective of opening its application to anyone and consolidating its position in a market where BlaBlaCar leads the long haul.

After growing by 110% in the last year, Tribbu is now focusing on daily commutes in cities, with a strategy that seeks to generalize the use of shared cars beyond companies and universities, replicating the French company's Daily model, which connects users with daily routes.

The company has more than 60,000 registered users, more than 100 affiliated companies and more than 400,000 completed journeys. Together, the drivers and passengers of the platform have traveled more than 9 million kilometers, which translates into more than 1,000 tons of CO2 avoided.

The rebrand takes place in a context of greater regulation and incentives for sustainable mobility. Since 2024, Tribbu has been participating in the Energy Savings Certificates (CAE) system of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition. Thanks to this, each shared journey generates monetizable savings, so that users can receive around 1 euro per passenger and trip through the platform's Energy Bonus.

Until now, the Hoop Carpool model had been based on agreements with companies and administrations. With the redesign, the service is open to any user, while maintaining corporate solutions. “Sharing is no longer plan B, it's the only way to get there,” said Paloma Martín, CEO and co-founder, when presenting the new brand.

The company assures that its mission does not change: to promote collaborative mobility on short and daily trips. Its application is operational in seven countries -Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Panama and Guatemala-. “With each shared journey, we demonstrate that other mobility is possible. In 2025, we doubled the number of trips on the platform and avoided more than 520 tons of CO2?. This is just the beginning,” Martín concluded.
